What is a CRON Job?

A CRON job is a script that has no output to a web page but generates a report that is emailed to a specific individual, usually the County Coordinator.

All scripts are identified on the server and are set to run at a specific time. Run frequency an be set at any time of day, any time of the week or month.

For this site some scripts are set to run daily and some weekly. All generally run during the early morning hours so as not to interfere with normal daily traffic.

FYI... CRON is a server based software utility that allows tasks to be executed automatically at scheduled times.
